    Welcome to CEMVO's National Health Volunteering Project (NHVP) website. NHVP is an exciting project created to foster and increase Black Minority Ethnic (BME) Communities involvement in the NHS and local Social Care delivery through volunteering.

 Patient and Public Involvement Forums
  What are Patient and Public Involvement Forums (PPIF)?
PPI forums are made up of groups of volunteers in your local community who are enthusiastic about helping patients and public influence the the way the local healthcare is organised. Each PPI forum is fully independent and works with a local NHS Trust. Trusts include :
1) Primary Care Trusts
2) Acute Trusts - Local Hospitals
3) Mental Health Trusts
4) Ambulance Trusts
 LINKs -Local Improvement Networks
  Cppih will soon to be abolished and LINKs appointed. About Local Involvement Networks (LINks): Each local authority with social service responsbilities will be appropriately funded to carry out a new statutory duty to make arrangements providing for the establishment of a LINk in its area. Purpose - LINks will: Provide a flexible way for local people and communities to engage with health and social care organisations. Support and strengthen open and transparent communication between people, commissioners and providers Increase accountability of commissioners and providers. What will LINks do?
